複数の大学が協力して教育研究を行う大学院教育制度。中心となる一大学（基幹大学）に連合研究科を設置し、基幹大学以外の大学（参加校）は連合研究科の教育研究に協力する。全構成大学が連名で学位を授与する共同教育課程制度とは異なり、連合大学院の学位は基幹大学名で授与される。

A graduate school education system in which multiple universities cooperate in undertaking education and research. A united graduate school is established at the university at the center of the system (core university) and the other universities (participating schools) cooperate with the education and research of this united graduate school. Unlike the joint degree system, in which academic degrees are awarded in the names of all the universities involved, united graduate school degrees are awarded only in the name of the core university.
