国際連携教育課程制度(ジョイント・ディグリー・システム) International Joint Degree System
日本国内の大学と外国の大学等が、大学間協定に基づき連携して学位を授与することができる教育課程。
2014年より、大学及び専門職大学の学部、大学院及び専門職大学院の研究科（ただし、法科大学院を除く）、短期大学、並びに専門職短期大学は、国際連携教育課程を提供することができるようになった。運営する組織として、大学の場合、学部の下には学科（国際連携学科）を、大学院の研究科の下には専攻（国際連携専攻）を設けることができ、設置にあたっては設置認可が必要である。なお、2022年より、日本の大学等で授与している学位の種類や分野の変更を伴わない等の要件を満たす場合には、届出設置が認められることとなった。設置の要件として、連携する外国の大学等が、外国の学校教育制度において適切に位置付けられていることや、その教育研究活動等の総合的な状況について、外国の政府又は関係機関の認証を受けた者による評価を受けたものであることが求められている。
機関別に行われる大学評価においては、これらの教育課程が一機関内に収まるものでないことから、国際連携教育課程全体としての教育研究活動の状況を示す報告書を添付することが必要であると考えられている。

An academic program upon the completion of which a degree is awarded based on an agreement between Japanese and foreign universities and colleges.
From 2014, undergraduate and graduate programs excluding law schools as well as junior colleges and professional and vocational junior colleges are entitled to organize and offer international joint degree programs. Organizations may be established to manage international joint degree programs, with universities establishing a department (international joint department) within the faculty, and graduate schools establishing a graduate department (international joint graduate department) within the graduate school; approval for the establishment of such organizations must be obtained. From 2022, only notification to the Minister is required for the establishment which does not entail a change in the levels or fields of the academic degrees awarded. The requirements for establishment stipulate that foreign partner institutions must be appropriately positioned within the school education system of the country in which they are located. It is also required that the overall status of their educational and research activities be evaluated by an organization certified by the government or a relevant authority with jurisdiction over institutions.
As these academic programs are not confined to a single institution, a report indicating the status of educational and research activities across all international joint degree programs is considered necessary to be attached to institutional evaluations for universities conducted for each institution.
