GPA Grade Point Average (GPA)

Grade Point Average (GPA) GPA

An average calculated by first assigning a point, e.g. between 4 and 0, to each grade, e.g. A, B, C, D and F, next multiplying the point by the number of earned credits for each subject, then totaling the products and dividing the total by the number of the credits for the subjects the students has registered. GPA values are referenced as a minimal requirement for graduation and progression in some universities and as a criteria for deciding on the destinations of study abroad and scholarship in others.
