入学者受入れの方針(アドミッション・ポリシー) Admission Policy
各大学・学部等が入学志願者や社会に対し、その教育理念や特色等を踏まえ、教育活動の特徴や求める学生像、入学者の選抜方法等の方針をまとめたもの。入学者選抜や入試問題の出題内容にはこの方針が反映されることとなっている。大学等がこの方針を策定、公表することが学校教育法施行規則によって義務づけられている。機構の認証評価では、大学等に対し、アドミッション・ポリシーの策定・周知を求めるとともに、実際の受入学生の状況を通じてポリシーの実効性の検証について評価を行う。機構の認証評価の基準では、学生受入方針と表記している。
Admission Policy 入学者受入れの方針(アドミッション・ポリシー)
A document prepared by each university and faculty for prospective students and the public, summarizing the characteristics of its educational activities, the type of students it is seeking and its methods for selecting university entrants, based on its educational principles and distinctive features. The policy is expected to be reflected in the selection of entrants to the university. Universities and colleges are obligated to formulate and publicize an admission policy in compliance with the Articles 165-2 and 172-2 of the Regulation for Enforcement of the School Education Act. In its certified evaluation and accreditation program, NIAD-QE requires universities and colleges to formulate and publicize their admission policies to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy by examining the status of the students admitted.
