専攻科 Diploma Course
大学、短期大学及び高等専門学校に置くことができる課程。これらの高等教育機関を卒業した者又はこれと同等以上の学力をもつと認められた者を入学資格とし、精深な程度において特別な事項を教授し、その研究指導をすることを目的として設置することができる、修業年限を１年以上とする課程。大学における特別支援学校教諭養成のための専攻科等。また、専攻科における学修は、大学における授業科目の履修とみなすことができるとされている。
Diploma Course 専攻科
A program that may be established at a university, junior college, or college of technology. It is a program lasting at least one year for the purpose of teaching particular matters in greater depth and providing research supervision. Admission is open to individuals who have graduated from higher education institutions and individuals who are recognized as having at least equivalent academic ability. One example is a university advanced course for training special needs education teachers. Studies as part of an advanced course may be equivalent to those at universities.
